The LUDO FACT GmbH "Creativity in cardboard" was founded in 1991 and is the largest publisher independent gaming manufacturers in Europe. The headquarters of the group is located in Swabia Jettingen, where in addition to the LUDO FACT also the logistics company LUDO PACKT GmbH & Co.KG is a resident. The company produces mainly board games and puzzles, but also cardboard solutions for other industries. The LUDO FACT works with about 150 game publishers together worldwide and annually produces about 10 million games and puzzles. In March 2011 the company had around 500 employees. 

The starting position to optimize the company's correspondence was as follows: The LUDO FACT wrapped the shipment of commercial documents and customer information mainly on paper. Digital media were also in use, but accessible almost only in cumbersome manual labor.
