Heading the IT IS group: Joerg “Joe” Lorenz, the CEO of IT IS AG

Joerg “Joe” Lorenz started programming computers at the age of 13. His first computer was a BASIC-programmable pocket computer with a blazing 400 bytes of memory. Later he switched over Atari ST towards his own PC. On the managing side, he started as a young lieutenant in an air defense role in the German army.

Moving more into electronics and computer science, he graduated as Master of Science (Dipl.-Ing.) in engineering at the Technical University of Munich. Subsequent he continued researching at the University of Pennsylvania on neural networks and post graduated.

Already during his time at the Munich University, he started as a volunteer, writing many articles on soft- and hardware for “CHIP”, a renowned German computer publication. Later, he worked as an editor of the same magazine and built up a press correspondence office in the USA from scratch. For years he was in the marketing department of Microsoft Germany. He stood on stage together with Bill Gates in his role as press spokesperson responsible for Mid-market and professional product line of Microsoft.

Now, since more than 12 years, he acts as the CEO IT IS AG, the leading company for extensions of Business Solutions like Dynamics NAV and Dynamics AX. Today he is on the board of directors for the other members of the IT IS group. His passion is to get excellent results for our IT IS customers and using IT as a valuable instrument in the ever changing, yet constraints driven world of today.

Controlling and managing: Anke Lorenz, the Chairman of the Board of IT IS AG

Anke Lorenz started as a young apprentice for accounting and office management at an electrical service company with 70 employees. Already together with Joe, she then moved to Munich to start at Siemens AG. There she worked for many years at the largest Siemens site for Semiconductors in Munich as managing assistant at the general premises administration. During that time, she got a call to move into the financial controlling area of Siemens company health insurance funds located close by, where she was right hand of the CFO of the organization.

After having the right amount of experience, she moved to the USA together with Joe to help him building up the correspondence office. Returning to Germany with great English language skills, she went to work for Ingram Micro, a leading U.S. computer distribution company where she managed the accounts payable for the German subsidiary. When both moved to her adopted home town Landshut, she took care of young Christopher but since then she also manages the Finance and HR department of IT IS and directs the board of IT IS AG.
